Andy RushtonAs a counsellor I provide a safe space where you can explore your life, talk about anything that is troubling you, face a crisis or make a life-changing decision in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. The aim of counselling is to empower you to enhance your life and to live it more fully.

Counselling is a psychotherapeutic practice based on tried and tested psychological principles. To learn those principles I trained for 3 years to obtain my diploma in counselling and then practised for nearly 4 more years to obtain my accreditation. I have been in practice since 2002.

I work in a humanistic way, which means that I work from a deep respect for you and who you are. I believe that you can find your own path and your own answers, my job is to help that process. I will not tell you how to live your life!

Counselling can take place either in an exploratory open-ended way, or in a focussed way on a specific issue for an agreed time period.

I work with you as a whole person, so can help with most issues.

I have extensive experience of working with: Trauma – Depression – Eating Disorders – Anxiety – Sexuality – Gender – Anger – Workplace Problems – Bullying – Bereavement – Abuse – Personal Development – Family Issues – Step-Families – Self-Esteem – Divorce – Stress – Relationship Issues – Addiction and many other issues.
