‘Developing Embodied Interventions and Experiments within the cocreated embodied field’

Julianne Appel-Opper will offer the next series of four English speaking weekend workshops in Berlin

on 20-22 Oct 2017; 19-21 Jan 2018; 20-22 April 2018 and

15-17 April 2018.

Friday 4-7pm, Sat 10am-5.30pm, Sun 10am-2pm – for a detailled flier and to apply, please email: [email protected] Thank you!

Rooted in Dialogical Gestalt Psychotherapy, the 4 workshops will focus on bodily gestalten as tiny movements, rhythms and melodies of  two bodies relating, regulating and communicating with each other. In an embodied field, therapist and client move each other and are moved by the other. The workshops will give the opportunity to discover and explore ways of how the therapist can work with ‘body-to-body-communications’. The therapist’s own bodily attunement to the relational language of the client’s body, alongside an awareness of one’s personal physical resonances, allows the possibility for explicit interaction within this mode of body-to-body-communication (not touching). Julianne offers a safe and respectful space for:
– exercises, experiential process, live supervision, small group work
– theory input,  a critical discussion and reflection of  different approaches to body process in psychotherapy and relevant interdisciplinary research findings in this field. The participants will receive a 30-page-handout and a student discount on the CONFER module ‘Embodied Approaches to Psychotherapy’.
Who is this workshop series for? The workshops are suitable for qualified psychotherapists from all backgrounds or final year trainees, particularly those who have already begun to integrate body process into therapy practice but have not yet encountered Relational Living Body Psychotherapy. Psychotherapists who have attended previous one-off-workshops who wish to deepen their knowledge and experience of Relational Living Body Psychotherapy are also welcome to attend. Potential participants unknown to Julianne are invited to discuss the suitability of the workshops with her beforehand. The aim of this is to ensure that the workshops can offer sufficient containment, safety and clarity to significantly contribute to the on-going professional and personal development of all participants.
Cost: 1000 Euro, reduced to 880 Euro if booked and paid before 23 of June 2017.
With your payment receipt you will receive a list of hotels recommended by colleagues which has grown over the years.
Julianne is a UKCP reg. Integrative and Gestalt Psychotherapist, Supervisor and International Trainer. For more information, for example to download her publications or to read what others said about the workshops, please visit her website at:
