I work privately with individuals or couples in South Suffolk and North Essex. I offer both short term counselling and longer term psychotherapy. I charge £35 per 50 minute session for individuals and £50 per 50 minute session for couples.

People come to me troubled by all sorts of issues – anxiety, obsession, anger, depression, relationship problems to name a few. These difficulties often stem from being “stuck” in ways of relating to themselves and others that are no longer constructive. A period of counselling offers the safe space and impartial, challenging support without which it is so difficult to see what you could do differently.

The main influences on my work are Gestalt psychology, Somatic psychology (working with how we embody our experience) and Buddhist thought. What this means in practice is that we start with now – how you are feeling and what you want – trusting that paying attention to all levels of your experience and working creatively together, will increase your sense of freedom, authority and authenticity.

I care about the down-to-earth detail of every day life as well as the bigger picture of the meaning we give to our lives. I bring my own experience, warmth and integrity to this work and I will treat you with dignity and compassion.
