I have many years of experience working one-to-one, and in groups, as a counsellor, life coach, psychologist and now psychotherapist.  I believe we each need a safe place to speak and be listened to, without criticism or judgement.  I hope to provide such a place, with warmth and empathy, to enable people to work out what they feel and need, and to reflect on where they have come from and work out where they are going.  I have been in therapy myself for many years and have experienced Jungian, Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.  I think I am mainly coming from a Humanistic perspective, whereby I hope to help people become their true selves.  However, I draw on other disciplines, perspective, trainings and skills as I see fit.  I am someone who has worked a great deal on their addictions:  to love, sex, alcohol, spending money, food (not eating), co-dependency, and am happy to work with people, in a completely non-judgemental way, on their own addictions/obsessions.  I am a working parent, and feel I can offer help to other parents.  I am also happy to be open about issues concerning sexuality.  I am still growing myself and believe that ongoing therapy is part of a process of lifelong learning and self-development.
