I practice from a person-centred approach. I aim to develop a warm, open relationship which enables the client to feel fully accepted so that a true sense of freedom to explore issues without judgement and with respect can evolve.

I have extensive counselling experience with relationship difficulties, stress and depression. I work with trainee counsellors who wish to work at their personal development and can offer a reduced rate for students.

I have a particular interest in bereavement and see this as a natural, if painful experience that each of us will have encounters with in our lifetime. Complicated and poorly supported or experienced grief can lead to illness. Counselling can support the grief process before it gets to the stage of creating illness and it can also help to resolve areas of grief that remain persistent.

I work one day a week at a counselling centre in Oxford and one day a week in private practice. I have extensive experience of working with clients experiencing domestic abuse and have worked for Berkshire Women’s Aid in the past.
