I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist and have been practicing for 20 years. I work with adults, adolescents, children, families and couples either on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period. I am experienced in working with women and men of many different lifestyles and cultural heritages.

I offer a free initial pre-counselling meeting, with no charge or committment at this stage, to help you decide if you would like to begin counselling with me.

If you do decide to work with me, we’ll begin by looking at the particular issues that concern you, how they are affecting you and your life and what your hopes are for counselling. Counselling may be helpful to you in different ways. You could learn to manage difficult feelings better. Or it might enable you to clarify your thoughts and feelings so that you can resolve a particular problem. Or you may gain new insights and understandings about yourself which can open up possibilities for change and moving on to finding a more satisfying way of living.

Some of the issues I have helped people with include anger, relationship difficulties, bereavement and other losses, depression, concerns relating to sex and sexuality, anxieties and fears including panic attacks, low self confidence, domestic violence and other forms of abuse, troubling effects of past experiences, problems sleeping or eating and many others.

I am committed to providing counselling and psychotherapy which responds to each individual’s needs and which is safe, confidential and non-judgemental. If you would like to speak to me or arrange an initial, pre-counselling meeting, please either ring or email me.
