I am a counsellor, supervisor and Psychosynthesis therapist working in Newport, South Wales, with over ten years of experience in the field and around 5,000 client hours completed. My work is mainly with individuals, though I have experience working with couples and I run a range of groups (notably Mindfulness training groups). I have worked extensively with children, aongside a colleague, using drama & movement therapy, myth and story. I also have much experience working within university settings, both as a therapist for staff and students, and also in a teaching capacity (currently I teach communication to undergraduates).
I am interested in a range of themes – therapeutically I enjoy the fusion of psychosynthesis with dynamic traditions such as that of archetypal psychology and ecopsychology. I remain a student of Buddhism and other wisdom traditions (Sufsim, Hermeticism, Kabbalah) and have a particular interest in the mystic experience. I also enjoy the natural world in all her forms. I have an active meditation practice, a young family and an aspiration to add to my creative output, especially as a writer (I have two works in print, both poetry books, and a number of journal articles and features).
Previously as a therapist I have worked in a prison and also in another University.
