If you’re struggling with difficult thoughts, feelings and situations, I hope my approach can be of help to you.

I work with many, probably most, areas of difficulties using a creative meld of techniques gathered and honed over 30 years, embedded in a calming and respectful approach.

I also specialise in trauma work. The latter can be the result of one huge event or, far less obviously, a succession of seemingly much smaller ones often going way back into childhood. A trauma can mean many things to many people and being shouted at by an exhausted angry parent, for example, when you’re 4 years old can effect you for many decades to come. Outside conscious memory, the experience(s) can impact on your beliefs and feelings without knowing it causing such problems as lack of self-confidence, anger issues or relationship problems to name but a few.

With the latter in mind I’m now an accredited practitioner in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) which is a powerful tool for clearing those issues from your system, holistically,  once and for all. Sometimes it is helpful to interweave other creative techniques into the process which clients have reported as extremely helpful.

Also, I offer Couples Counselling and consultative support for trainees and qualified counselors.
