I live in and love living in Fermanagh. I am passionate about living life to my full potential and supporting others to do the same. I spend lots of time outdoors exploring the varied land and seascapes of this beautiful country. I am a lifelong seeker which has led me through varied fields of knowledge and experience – biological science, eastern medicine and psychotherapy. In my fifth decade I am finding poetry and spiritual practice increasingly important. The personal qualities I bring to my work are empathy, patience, creativity, and a sense of humour.
I am a confidential and ethical practitioner.
Training, Qualifications and Experience
I have been in private practice since 1988 initially as an acupuncturist. I started offering psychotherapy in 1996 during my training at Spectrum in North London. That training was in a humanistic and integrative approach to therapy. I have a special interest in using body psychotherapy including Gestalt and Bioenergrtics to help with anxiety, depression, panic and trauma. I routinely work with self-esteem and self development issues.
I have had a well established practice in psychotherapy since 2000. I have fully accredited and via AHPP to the UKCP since 2008.
I am curently developing my work using the principles of ecopsychology to help the with emergent processes for individuals and communities facing the challenges of climate change. See www.ecotherapy-kernow.org and www.commongroundni.org
