About me

People seek help for a variety of reasons – a long-term problem that doesn’t go away, an immediate crisis, or feelings or emptiness/lack of meaning to life. Giving time and attention to your distress in the company of a listening, empathic, impartial therapist can lighten the load and allow you space to review your situation, how you live and experience life.

I have experience in working with a wide range of problems, including childhood neglect and abuse, relationship difficulties, life crises, depression, anxiety and stress, low self-esteem, anger and trauma. I am knowledgeable and experienced in working with Asperger Syndrome.

I have been working as an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor for the last 24 years. As a holistic therapist I pay attention to the whole person. I believe that when we increase awareness of our body, mind, heart and soul we can develop a deeper and truer sense of ourself. This in turn allows us to explore our life story and understand what gets in the way of relaxation, vitality, joy and creativity.

I work from home in Charlton Down, Dorchester, Dorset and from Nine Springs Natural Health Centre, Yeovil, Somerset

Training, qualifications & experience

1996 – 2000   Diploma in Psychotherapy at Chiron Centre, London
1992 – 1996   Certificate in Holistic Psychotherapy at Chiron Centre, London
1984 – 1986   CQSW/DipSW at Kingston Polytechnic, Surrey

I continue to acquire new knowledge and skills by attending training courses and workshops.

I receive regular supervision and continue to work on my own self-development. It is important to me that I maintain my own emotional health and professionalism.

I am registered with United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and a member of British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).
