I offer empathic integrative psychotherapy and counselling, including couples counselling, in Bristol on both a short-term and a long-term basis.

For many people it’s a very daunting step to seek professional help with their problems, despite the increasing acceptance of such help nowadays. I understand this and will do my best to make the process as smooth and easy for you as possible.

I have had a life-long interest and involvement in the field of personal growth and in supporting others in their own healing and exploration. I have been providing counselling and therapy for over two decades and I was the co-director of Fulcrum House for ten years, a therapy centre just off Whiteladies Road, Bristol.

My earlier career in industry provided me with an intimate understanding of the problems and conflicts inherent in balancing the world of work with family responsibilities and the need to recover from stress.

I trained and worked for several years as a Cruse bereavement counsellor, undertook a European training course in Radix bodywork in Athens, trained with Babette Rothschild both in Danish ‘Bodynamic Psychotherapy’ and in Trauma (PTSD) Work, and hold a Diploma in Body Psychotherapy from the Chiron Centre, in West London.

More recently I have become interested in ways of facilitating transformation change and have undertaken training in Coherence Therapy. I am a full registered member of UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy).

I can also be contacted via my website: bristoltherapy.co.uk
